Goodness, the Germans had wind tunnel machines to test out new plane designs, I should think there was some chemist or scientist with a plan behind at least some of it. Has anyone converted the Windsock Datafile lozenge colors into HTML codes? Color books are scarce and though someone posted a website with a color converter the link had been broken when I tried it. There was certainly a conclusion it was near impossible to pin point from the relic fabric with us today what it looked like before the fuel, soot, sun, time, and bullets took their toll. I previously read some excellent thoughts from Mark Miller and others regarding matching WW1 era colors and patterns for lozenge.
